TESTIMONIALS

We have had the opportunity to work with some great people and fantastic organisations. Here are some comments from some of our previous clients.

"We set The Rainbow Collective the challenging task of shooting and fusing diverse sequences of film, together with a myriad of photographs, into a coherent illustration of our work. I was most impressed with their determination to understand our programme and their commitment to present it to best effect. We were delighted with the resulting DVD, which was delivered within a tight timescale."

"I have consistently called on the Rainbow Collective to work with me on a number of social and educational documentaries for Teachers TV. They have proven to be invaluable collaborators who will bring expertise, enthusiasm and an innate moral compass to any work they do. Both Hannan and Richard are uniquely creative and visionary filmmakers. I will always value their skill, talent, commitment and comradeship".

"It was great working with Rainbow Collective for this video, they were a pleasure to work with throughout. From a great understanding of what we were looking for, and amazing quality in execution we were really pleased with the finished product. The video was central to our communications campaign and has helped underpin its success, having now been shared widely and viewed nearly 20,000 times."

I have worked with Hannan Majid and Richard York of Rainbow Collective when they have presented documentaries on issues concerning children's rights at 'Bite The Mango' Film Festival in Bradford, an evening event at Leeds Trinity College and also at the Human Rights Centre, Amnesty International UK in London. The films made and presented by them make a powerful impact on audiences and create a determination to join other activists in campaigning against the violation of the human rights of children and to fulfil the spirit of the UN Convention on the Rights Of Children. Hannan and Richard are very committed to the children they film and work to ensure, in cooperation with partners at such events, that actions result which benefit the children or the organisations that support them.

Rainbow Collective enthusiastically agreed to work with our service user group and helped them produce a DVD for our residential project . Both Hannan and Richard engaged well and proved to be confident with the young people. The short film is now used successfully as part of a referral information pack for new service users.  I would, and have recommend Rainbow Collective to other local agencies.

I have worked twice with Rainbow Collective, most recently in 2008 when they filmed and produced a training DVD for Oxfordshire County Council. The DVD was aimed at training staff in schools on Safeguarding Children and Child Protection. Throughout the project Richard and Hannan were skilled and professional, helping us through the process from the planning stage, right through to the finished product.  They were sensitive to our needs and adaptable when we wanted to make changes. I would highly recommend using Rainbow Collective, particularly because they can offer a tailor-made service.

Having the Rainbow Collective team on board during the Mosaïques Festival was a real plus, both in terms of content and atmosphere. Hannan Majid & Richard York had the mission to lead a filmmaking workshop during the whole duration of the Festival. It was for 8 young students in film to get their hands at work and learn a lot about script writing, shooting and editing. Thanks to their enthusiasm Richard & Hannan managed to bring an even bubblier and younger atmosphere to the festival. The filmmakers attending the festival were happy to discover the creative work done by the students and Rainbow Collective and exchange techniques, opinions with a lot of interest. They didn't require much during a very busy period for the team of the Mosaïques festival but still managed to have the workshop films ready for the closing night, during which they've been shown prior to the closing night film. The work our audience has been able to see was really artistic, professional and impressive considering the short period they had to make them. I would definitely recommend Rainbow Collective to other festivals and companies.
