Voices That Shake
In August 2013, we teamed up with our friends Hi8us to work on The Voices That Shake training programme. Shake is a project that brings together young people, artists and campaigners to develop creative responses to social injustice. Participants engage in dynamic workshops (poetry writing and performance, filmmaking and music) and follow up mentoring to persue creative campaigning and events production.

Rana Plaza Fundraisers
During 2013 we organised several fundraising events in aid of the victims of the Rana Plaza collapse, at Regent's College and The Rich Mix Cinema where the discussion was chaired by the wife of the Bangladeshi High Commissioner. At both events we screened our film 'The Machinists, held Q&A sessions, and featured music from our long time friend John Pandit of The Asian Dub Foundation and State of Bengal. All funds raised went directly to the families in need.

Quest; A Tall Tale
We have completed shooting a short 'making of' documentary for director Thomas. G. Murphy. Tom is making a feature length animated film called 'Quest; A Tall Tale'. We filmed Tom and the voice artist Sylvester McCoy as they recorded the voices for various characters. Sylvester McCoy is well known for being in the Doctor Who series and can also be seen in Peter Jackson's 'The Hobbit' and its upcoming sequels. Tom and Sylvester were great to work with and we filmed some great interviews with them about the process of making 'Quest; A Tall Tale'.
'The Machinists' was selected to close the London Labour Film Festival on 23rd June 2013. We also took part in a Q&A after the screening to discuss the JustGiving fundraiser.
DWTV Agenda Appearance
Bangla TV Interview
We were featured on Bangla TV for a 90 minute show with Leesa Gazi. Leeza has her own show which is aired at 7.30pm every Sunday. It was our first experience of being on a live show. We were interviewed about our documentaries in Bangladesh and in particular spoke our 'The Machinists'. There was also a phone-in and members of the public asked us questions about our work. We were very happy with the interview and were especially pleased to be able to plug the JustGiving fundraiser.
