Current Productions Educational documentaries East End Homes a short animated documentary highlighting the do's and don'ts of living in a tower block in Mile End in East London. We shall also be talking to local residents to speak about livening in Mile End and East End. On this project we are working young people from the area and training them up on our cameras so that they can shoot the documentary themselves with our supervision. Once the documentary has been shot we shall be animating it in post just like the Stomp music video we made for KidKanevil. We are working with our long time collaborator Hazuan Hashim who shall be editing this project. Hazuan worked with us in Bangladesh while we were shooting Mass E Bhat. While Hazuan was there he was shooting a documentary which we helped him on which looks at how global warming has effected Bangladesh. Go Givers & Lawyer in Schools Both these projects are working with the Citizenship Foundation with whom we worked last year. The Go Givers is a short documentary about schools in the UK who are involved in the Go Givers Project. The project is a competition taking place in London schools where each school nominates a social or environmental issue which they would like to raise awareness on through a campaign the students themselves design. In this documentary we are visiting the various schools taking part and shall document their progress . For more information on the Go Givers project visit the website here. Lawyers in schools is a short documentary looking at a project the Citizenship Foundation has been doing for may years where they work with law firms based in the UK who send out lawyers to conduct classes with teenagers about the UK legal system. This documentary is celebrating the hard work Citizenship Foundation has been doing with lawyers and schools and goes into the history of this project and looks at the reasons behind its conception and success. Teachers TV productions We have just started shooting this project with Helen Wickham, the first days shoot is in Newcastle and continues shooting in London. We will be giving full details of this project in the next couple of weeks. The turnaround on this project will be fast and we shall keep everyone posted on when it shall be aired on Teachers TV. We are still in post production on our second TRC release. We have already edited half of the documentary and are very pleased with how it is coming along. We have started screening promo's of documentary to other filmmakers and industry insiders who have been giving us very positive feedback. Visit the Mass E Bhat page for more information on the documentary and very soon we shall be releasing a series of trailers and promos the first of which has been posted on the Mass E Bhat page. Another thing to add is that Mass E bhat shall be using some amazing music from Kidkanevil's 'Problems & solutions' and 'Back off Im a scientist' albums. This is the first time a documentary of ours will be heavy on contemporary music and we are honored to be working with KidKanevil, a very talented musician and a great friend.
This is our first release of 2008. The documentary has been completed and we are currently entering it into festivals and looking into places we can start getting it screened.
